                                WARRIOR

 

ü     Warrior must be at least 18 years of age or Warrior is a H.S. student with parent.

ü       Warrior must have resided in Bexar County or surrounding Counties for the last six months or work in Bexar and live in one of the surrounding counties.

ü       Warrior must have a driver's license and have insured transportation.

ü       Warrior must be willing to participate and be available as a mentor for at least an average of 4 hours weekly for one year.

 

ü Warrior must display a genuine caring for the Arrow and their needs.

ü       Warrior must demonstrate a stable, responsible and lifestyle.

ü       Warrior must demonstrate sound personal judgment.

ü       Warrior must demonstrate emotional and personal maturity.

ü       Warrior must not use illegal drugs or not abuse alcohol or other legal drugs.

 

 

 

 

ü         Warrior will promote a lifestyle of abstinence until marriage, marriage of opposite    

        sex relationships, and promote a healthy body through saying no to alcohol or 

        substance abuse or other harmful addictions.

ü      Warrior must not have health problems, which would be detrimental to the match.     

ü      Warrior must respect the safety of the Arrow.

ü       Warrior must work within the organization’s guidelines.

ü      Warrior must be willing to accept encouragement from the Heritage Children staff.

  ü  Warrior must be able to provide friendship, support and inspiration to the Arrow.

ü       Warrior must be able to allow Arrow to make his or her own decisions, and to be responsible for their decisions, by role modeling and by walking through possible consequences with them.

ü       Warrior must be able to assist their Arrow in developing and refining intangible skills such as problem solving and assertiveness, as well as helping in the development of self-esteem and self-confidence.

ü       Warrior must be willing to share experiences and ideals with a Arrowt.

ü       Warrior must be willing to participate with their Arrow in various activities and/or cultural experiences.
